Robinson Landscape Design was recognised yesterday in the Landscape Institute Awards and received the Highly Commended Award in the ‘Design under 1ha’ category. This was awarded for the design of Sunniside Gardens in Sunderland; see ‘Our Works’ above for more detail on the site. This acknowledged Robinson Landscape Design is an “organisation whose vision leads the way in creating innovative and dynamic landscape”.

The awards are presented by the Landscape Institute to recognise achievements in the Landscape sector and include categories ranging from Landscape Policy and Planning to Design and Management, a full list of the awards and winners can be found on the Landscape Institute website www.landscapeinstitute.org. These awards also aim to encourage further achievements in the sector, to promote the art and science of landscape architecture and to aid the development of knowledge and expertise of professionals and students alike.

The event was hosted by Krishnan Guru-Murthy at the Brewery, London and our director Tom Robinson travelled down to receive the award.
